Trailer Trash for iPhone
Something broken, something missing, or something that ought to work differently — write to support@trailertrash.app. It's read by the person who wrote the app.
If it's a bug, the three things that make it findable are the film it happened on, what you tapped, and which iPhone and iOS version you're on. A screenshot beats all three.
A film I expected isn't in the app
Probably on purpose. Trailer Trash shows films by how widely they were actually distributed, not by how good anyone thinks they are — that's the Reach setting in the wall's menu. Turn it up (Wide → Major → Arthouse → Everything) and the bar drops. At Everything, almost nothing is filtered out.
Two other reasons a film can be absent: it hasn't been released in the US yet, in which case look further up the timeline under Upcoming; or the catalog hasn't refreshed since it was added. Pull down on the wall to refresh.
A trailer won't play
Trailers play through YouTube's own player, and YouTube is where they can go wrong: cuts get pulled, made private, or blocked in some countries by whoever uploaded them. The app checks and hides the ones it knows are gone, but it finds out at the moment you do. If a trailer plays on youtube.com and not here, that's ours — please write.
My Letterboxd films aren't marked as seen
The connection reads your public diary's RSS feed, and Letterboxd caps that feed at roughly the last fifty entries. Older viewing isn't in it and can't be reached — there is no public watchlist feed at all. The account also has to be public; a private one publishes no feed for the app to read.
Films you logged elsewhere, or under a different title than TMDB uses, may not match. That one is worth telling us about.
How do I delete my data?
There is no account to close. Everything the app keeps — trailer ratings, your Letterboxd username, your settings — is on the device, and deleting the app deletes it. Trailer ratings that were pooled to rank the best trailers carry a random install id and nothing else, so there is nothing there to find and remove; the full account is on the privacy page.
